Seeds

Brothers Christos (clarinet) and Mihalis (double bass) Kalkanis are 'Seeds' and they have already performed in special venues in Greece and in Bremen / Germany as part of the Jazz Ahead CLUBNIGHT 2023. For the first time the brothers join forces to create a new, powerful world of sound where the acoustic timbres of double bass, clarinet and piano coexist with electronic sounds. Growing up in a house full of musical instruments and sounds of classical and traditional Greek music, they developed this deep sense of connection that gives coherence and power to their intimate and atmospheric compositions.
The music creates images from movie soundtracks and the neoclassical scene, and often recalling Greece and its traditions, making them one of the most interesting creative
musicians of the new generation.
